Is there a way to create a second isometric view of an assembly (say from the back view as opposed to the front view). I really need to show an ISO of a rectangular shaped assy in two view to accurately depict this equipment. Any help is appreciated.

Also is there a method to auto exploed an assy with a pre-defined distance (say 100mm). I am having to explode the assy one step at a time to get the output I need. An auto explode is sending parts to various distances and am spending as much or more time editing them to get them looking correct.

No not really. You could go to your model orient it the way you want. Push the space bar. THat will give you Orientation menu box. Then click the middle telescope and save that view. Then in the drawing you can use the view in there, by using model view.

I have a macro that will make the 8 isometric views of a model and save them. In your drawing file you just insert the iso view you would like. Leave your e-mail and I'll send it along.

Just checked the FAQ. The macro code is already there under IsoViews- All 8 of them. Courtesy of Starrider.

If you want the .swp file let me know. I don't think I can upload a file to this site??

I have been using the one from Lennys as well, I would love to see the code and compare the two. It would be nice if someone had the time to create a few more alternatives, maybe from underneath the part.

Besides the 8 isometrics, what other one is there?
Or do you want to turn the part upside down, and then create more isometrics?

I also have some modified code to do this if you need it. It creates 16 different iso-views. All I haven't done yet is to create a form to allow the user to select which of the views they want created. At this point you manually need to delete the views you don't want to keep.
