We have 3 floating ADVES licenses and 2 node-locked ADV MACH's which have local license servers. The ADV MACH's have the license borrowing option.

My question: If I'm on a machine that normaly takes an ADVES license from the server (floating) and there's non available, is there a way to see the node locked licenses on the local machines without having to change the environmental variables UGII_LICENSE_SERVER in order to borrow one?

Thanks for any help,

If the licenses are node-locked, it won't do you any god to read the license file since your node will not match the license and fail.

If you have multiple floating servers, you can add multiple nodes to the UGII_LICENSE_SERVER variable so the software will look at the second node listed if all licenses on the first node have been checked out.

Ben,

Thanks for your respons.

The different nodes is indeed my problem. Is there a way to define some sort of alternative node?
