We are designing a an aluminium box, which is to be compression molded (both the box and the lid) and needs to be IP68. The box is about 600 x 250 mm and is quite thin-walled (~3 mm), with screw towers on the inside (outside needs to be smooth). We are struggling with how to achieve a tight seal and are considering various types of gaskets, glues, foam, o-rings, composite sandwich gaskets, etc., but are finding it difficult to come up with a concept we can trust in. In addition to wanting a reliable seal, we want to simplify assembly as much as possible.

Any ideas or relevant references we could take inspiration from?
