I'm in the process of condemning a building to be demolished (don't worry, it's what I was hired to determine), but need to make sure my report is as thorough as possible so I can prevent any push back or back-and-forth with an adjuster.

Light frame wood construction, mid-80s, eastern Virginia. The building is sheathed with "Dennyboard 62125", also has the trade name "ALUMASHEATH" in bigger letters on it. It's essentially 1/8" fiber board with a foil on it and fastened to the studs with roofing nails. From what I can tell the company that made it is now defunct. All references I've been able to find are DIY chat rooms and contractors' blogs, pretty much all saying the stuff is awful and falling apart. It's actually in okay shape on this building, but I'd like to find some documentation on it - shear strength (3-story apartment, no shear walls, just this stuff on the exterior), resistance to water (fire trucks called out to the building 3 times and dumped a few thousand gallons on it), etc. so I can add it to the list of reasons the rest of the shell needs to come down.

If anyone knows anything about this stuff, has any documents, or any experience with it please share!
