Does anyone have existing aluminium/Stainless steel extrusions of various shapes, with wall thickness less than 2mm and maximum diameter 10cm which could be cut for use in baking. If so, would it be possible to have small batches made, and how much would it cost. Would it be possible to see the various shapes. If this is ok, could you please get in touch.

DoodleBread,

I have experience with Aluminum shapes, but not stainless steel. If you can not find existing shapes, it normally runs between $700 to $800 to make the initial dye (assuming you make the drawing). Then, extruders have minimum runs of hundreds of feet. You're probably looking at $1500 to $2000 per shape including the dye and min run.

I would imagine stainless steel would be more.

All that said, I think you are better off having someone make small runs in a machine shop using CNC. You can normally get away with a few shapes for a few hundred dollars or so. Hope this helps.
