Aluminum channel to wood ledger connection

Where can I find information on calculating allowable shear values for connecting an aluminum channel to a wood ledger connection? The American Wood Council online calculator doesn't give aluminum as a dropdown option.

Aluminum Design Manual 2015 or 2020 edition...depends on what grade aluminum you have and whether it is welded or not IIRC.

Aluminum to wood is interesting...feel like usually when I am designing something aluminum it is somewhere you would not want wood.

Thank you strucbells, I agree I wouldn't want aluminum and I kept asking about why not steel, but the answer I get is the architecturals call for aluminum.
