Aluminum Pressure Rating Class Standard 1

Hello,

I use ASME B16.5 for flange dimensions for SS and CS materials. Is this standard applicable to Aluminum material too? Which all materials are covered in this standard?

The materials covered by ASME B 16.5 are listed in table 1A, page 4. I've done a search and can't see aluminium listed.

That won't stop people making flanges to ASME B 16.5 dimensions, but what its pressure/ temperature rating is seems quite unclear.

ASME B31.3 appendix L covers aluminium alloy pipe flanges.

thanks for the replies. Found ASME B31.3 stating that Flanges shall meet the dimensional and tolerance requirements of ASME B16.5 under Appendix L.
