Hi Guys,

Has anyone here actually worked out how to use the Amada jog cut feature on FO machines, the older 160i type not the AMNC type controller.
Spoke with a few others who can't get it to work either.

Here's what we do
Select cutting condition
Select manual mode
turn on jog cut switch
push axis direction
push jog cut interlock button & hold
push jog cut beam on button & hold

Then the beam come on & the shutter opens, then that's all.
I would like to think the head should come down then pierce then start moving the axis, but this does not happen.

Can any one help with this one?
Thank you

Hi tstc,

Thank for your advice, I had tried that & it unfortunately it doesn't work.
As soon as I switch the jug cut key it won't allow x y or z to move in any direction.
I'm thinking it's a ladder issue with the older FO's, does anyone know?

Cheers

Did you have any success?
I'd guess that maybe you could jog down near the surface, and either handwheel it down where you want it, or maybe MDI the sensor ON.
Then select Jog Cut?

I'd just bang the g-code in, and run etching conditions first to make sure I'm where I want to be.
Then cut it.

Hi JayMaechtlen,

Thanks for your reply, we have not yet been able to get it working.
Was hoping someone here with an FO would commnent on it.

Currently we just use a dedicated program for X and another program for y trim, works ok but the "jog cut" feature when working would be much better for the machine operators.

Cheers
