Hi,

Has anyone ever seen lots of contamination on the upper side of an Amada cutting lens?
After a couple of days cutting we get a large build up of some sort of dust, i did check through the forums and found some of you guys have seen this before & it was relates to bellows failing & the treads on the Amada lens holders creating the dust. I checked both to my best ability & couldn't see how either can create this type of dust.
Please see attached image for a close up of the lens.

Thanks again for your help..

Is the dust black? I seem to recall mention in the past about bellows disintegrating and causing dust buildup in the optical train.

Am i looking at this correctly?
Is that a defined score around the top edge of the lens?
Have you scratched into the lens and this is what is covering it?

Just noticed your other thread about a wobble in the cut.
Same machine? Occurred around the same time as noticing the debris on lens?
Is it the lens rattling around in the cutting head giving you both problems perhaps?
