I am trying to convert some old autocad drawings into solid models. I am pretty familiar with pro-e, but can't find the function using UG. I am trying to to connect a circle and obround with smooth edges to subtract from a solid body.

The first pic shows the actual part. The second and third pics show the profile of the shape. The forth pic shows what I have in UG (I have the solid body hidden). Fifth pic shows the solid model.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Brett

Try using through curve.
insert-mesh surface-through curves.
I set my alignment to "By Points" to tweek the surface when the sections vary greatly.

OK, you should use the Surface Thru Curves...

Insert -> Mesh Surface -> Through Curves...

...and then use the Alignment method 'By Points'.

If you open the attached model and double-click edit it, you'll see how it was constructed,
