Analysis Results - what does it mean?

I am new to the field of vibration testing and this may or may not be a trivial question. Please be gentle.<br><br>I've recently carried out some vibration tests on an optical table. The results from the accelerometer are given in m/s/s at a known frequency. How can I convert this to a displacement so I can get a handle on the magnitudes involved?

I've talked with an associate about this and he offered the following:<br><br>You have a known frequency (Hz) which must be converted to radians/second (multiply frequency by 2*pi).&nbsp;&nbsp;Next, divide your acceleration by your new constant (rad/sec) to get the velocity.&nbsp;&nbsp;Divide again and you get displacement.<br><br>Alternatively, you could get ahold of an analysis package like Matlab and have it do the conversion.&nbsp;&nbsp;I've used Matlab before, but not much with the signal analysis toolbox.<br><br>Good luck,<br>Tony<br><br>
