I was wondering what sorts of hills computational analysts in the "mature" (from a computational structural mechanics perspective) industries choose to avoid fighting on and which ones they think are worth dying for. I won't elaborate on the question so interpret it any way you like and let's have an exchange.

Hill not worth fighting on: some people don't contribute to the coffee-club, but have a cup or two about once a week.

Hill worth fighting on: I should be able to choose my preferred "business notes" notebook, calculator, and writing utensils.

First one seems like a microcosm of the old federal vs. state argument :D

Didn't know second one was even a hill! [Counting my blessings.]
