Anchoring of Air Receiver Tank

Hi all,

Not sure if this is the right forum, but you never know until you ask!

I have to specify bolt hole locations to anchor a concrete tank to a cement pad foundation.

Is there a minimum distance I must go from the edge of the foundation to the anchor bolt? If so, is there a standard I can refer to for confirmation?

Appendix D - Anchoring to Concrete will be where you want to look.

However, if you have never designed concrete structures before, you are in for an uphill struggle. I would recommend finding a colleague who has done it before to assist.

Good rule-of-thumb is to never get closer to the edge of the slab than the embedment depth of the anchor bolt.

You have a concrete air receiver??

You would get more traction probably in structural engineering other or civil engineering other.

Min 150mm and inside of any re bar is a good start point.

I have never seen a concrete air receiver. Send us a picture. As far as anchoring, the manufacturer will probably have a brochure with related specifications.

Oh come on, it was obviously a "slip of the tongue". There is no such thing as a cement pad foundation either.

Concrete is made from cement, aggregate, and sand.
