Anchoring tables to borders: NX 11

I've set about updating the company standard dwg formats using the native title block and borders tools.

Anchoring the title blocks to the border is no problem and works well.
But I can't seem to find a way to anchor a Rev Table or Parts List to anything.
(Switch sheet sizes and these elements are orphaned in space and need to be fixed)

Is there a work around?? Am I missing something???

I didn't go through this process in NX 9 because you couldn't even anchor the title block to the border.
Kind of a big shortfall in that version.

If this can be solved for, highly flexible smart dwg formats have arrived.

Thanks Anthony. It doesn't appear to be what I was looking for though.
Unless of course I'm missing something.

I can get the tables and parts list placed in the dwg.
But they won't follow their respective positions when the sheet size is changed.

You can anchor the Title Block and it will snap around to any sheet size.

Getting this completed by the developers would transform the management of dwg formats. For me at least.
You could have just "one" for each customer. And that "one" would snap to any standard sheet size. Without the hassel of re-positioning orphaned parts lists, tables and notes.

It looks like another "almost" great enhancement. Lol

You're right. I could have sworn that when I made that video not the long ago, I checked parts lists & tables and it worked for them.
Now when I try they unassociate from the point and become dashed (i.e broken).

What a drag!

NX is hugely expensive and is long overdue for some serious work on the basics.
I just realized the Title Block string <W@$SH_MASTER_PART_NAME> doesn't update when renaming the part loaded into a drafting file.

You have to go every Title Block on every sheet, run "Edit Definition" & "Apply" to force the update.
Then again on each additional sheets Title Block.

But it will update <W@$SH_PART_NAME>

Dear Dave,

when you have the drawing part open with there in the model part you can rename the part file from there with the make unique function.
this will update also the <W@$SH_MASTER_PART_NAME> in the title block.

Thanks for the help.
I managed to get the renaming thing working. Locking that field in the Title Block is what set it strait.
Now you can use the save as function and it works fine.

Getting any of the other tables or symbols to follow the sheet around when you change sizes is another matter.
I gave up but suspect PhoeNX was able to do it like he said. But maybe in Version 10 which I skipped.
I'll never know!
