Dear Abaqus users,

1.
I would like to simulate an anisotropic non-linear material, with different behaviors in compression and tension domains.
I have realized tests that provide me different plastic curves in compression and tension, and for different directions.
> Is it possible to specify this in a non linear material property? Could you help me in finding documentation on this subject?
> If it is not possible, I’m rather interested in modeling an isotropic material, but also with a dissymmetric behavior.

2.
I have another question about the use of these data, it concerns crash simulation domain, where I’m not familiar.
I would like to make an explicit analysis to simulate an impact on a plate made of these previous material properties.
> Will my material be compatible?
> What would I miss? Damping data? Structural damping coefficient?

Thank you in advance.
Best Regards,

Cyril

Hi IceBreakerSours

Thanks for the tip, but my model contains 3D elements and i want to simulate the complex behaviour of a foam.
Do you think it's still the best way ?
Regards

Cyril
