Hi Folks!

I've got what I hope is another simple question for the NX experts out there! When I create an annotation in the drafting environment in NX6 and then modify the feature that the annotation is attached to it disassociates from that feature. No problem, right? You just use the handy-dandy "Edit Dimension Associativity" tool and reattach it, right? NOPE! This does not work. Can anybody tell me how to reassociate my annotations that contain a ton of parameters and attributes (and are therefore a pain to create from scratch again)?

Thanks in advance!

Jerry,

Do you mean when I create the annotation? Because I do that already... Perhaps more info is in order. I've attached a screen shot of the error that I get after editing the hole that the annotation is attached to. In this example, I removed the start and end chamfer from the hole because it made the tapped hole in the drawing look funny. When I went back to the drawing, the annotation had disassociated. I have tried very hard to reassociate it, but to no avail...

oh I see ...
I assume that you lost the associativity because the leader is to a curve, that changed to a differnt curve when the thread size changed, and not to a solid edge that simply changed size.

Open the 'List' subsection in the leader section (as shown in your screenshot), make sure leader 1 is selected (as opposed to 'new leader') and re-pick your object (threaded hole). That should do the trick, no need to go into the dimension associativity menu.

Or it was associated to the chamfer edge which disappeared.

YES!

cowski, thanks a ton! Talk about an irritating issue...
