Another deadly boiler explosion in Bangladesh, dozens are killed... scores severely injured. Flammable materials stored where disaster can ensue.

Boiler house not located remotely

All so that WAL-MART can give you the best prices .....

When will we learn ??/?

Another article that doesn't require you to sign in anywhere:
"which, according to its website, provides packaging materials for food and drink products for companies including Swiss global foods giant Nestle."
"We" did learn- that's why we have OSHA, ASME codes, building codes, etc.

Does anyone have hard data or at least an opinion about boiler safety standards across the world ???

Which countries enforce the most reasonable and comprehensive boiler standards ???

Which ones are the worst ??

Based on what I have seen in the US, I am amazed that there are not more disasters in the USA ...

Anyone ????

Thats' why it is called the third world. Some years ago I examined caustic SCC of a carbon steel water tank from India , the enhanced strength carbon steel tank had been welded with whatever filler was handy instead of specified material - "Its carbon steel ,no problem" - The weld deposit was at yield level stress ,promoting the SCC.

If you look at our history in the USA, we've had our fair share of disasters. Unlike some countries, we learn from them and are quick to amend standards and policies so we don't get a lot of repeat disasters.
