I am doing a reliability study for a gas compressor plant in Maracaibo Lake, Venezuela. The plant is 40 years old and is offshore and there are no plans of it so I don't know wich was the standard used on its manufacturing. The question is, what standards should I use to calculate the minimal thickness of pipes, ANSI B31.3 or ANSI B31.8 for gas pipelines and B31.4 for condensate even if the lines are inside the plant?
