What do you mean by "certification"? To what criteria? To what standard?

it is like microsoft has certification like mcsd, mcse. where the test is conducted online and if passed microsoft will give a certificate recognizing as software developer or networking engr.

The only thing I know are benchmarks. There are Ansys results (also for differenet element types) confronted with theoretical results. See more in Classical Ansys help.
When FEM program can be commercial then it should pass many
"patch tests" in order to check accuracy and detect errors
before this program will be released.

raju3444 - what you are talking about is certifying the finite element analyst. That is something that is absolutely not going to happen. Even if one could show a certain level of understanding regarding the finite element analysis computer program, then you get into the issue of whether or not that engineer is competent to perform finite element analysis for their specialty in engineering.

Why are you looking for this?

I was working with catia v5, i have good experience in designing. but when i started to change my job, i was asked if i had catia certification from dassult. So i was interested in knowing if Ansys certification is available.
thanks,
raj.

Certification in a CAD program is VERY VERY different from what you are talking about with an ANALYSIS program. Have you ever used ANSYS before?

If you want to learn ANSYS, my advice is this, first go and attend courses of Numerical Analysis, Finite Element Analysis (basic atleast), and Numerical Analysis (related to the field of engineering u belong to). Then go to ANSYS (as a software). ANSYS sure give trainings. but the most important thing is to know what is happening during simulation.

NAFEMS offers an analyst certification program. But it has not been very popular.
