Hello,
I'm new to ANSYS and want to check something that is proably obvious to others.
I'm performing an analysis that has pressure and heat loads. After it's solved I'll be plotting a path and to get the linearized stresses. The question I've got regards ANSYS interpretation of the thermal stress. Does ANSYS know/assume this is a secondary stress and exclude it from the linearized primary stresses? Or do I have to do two runs, one with the thermal load and one without it?
Thanks

The latter. You need to perform the stress classification yourself.

I will also note that the default linearization in ANSYS is not compliant with 5-A.4.1.2, Step 2(a) in ASME Section VIII, Division 2, Part 5 (2013).
