Hi,
I am trying to model welding analysis, v butt weld of a plate, by also taking into consideration that at cooling phase changes occur in the material (martensite, pearlite, uper bainite and lower bainite). I have carried out a thermal and structural analysis separately, with the latter feeding off from information of the first.
I was thinking of having a model that obtains the time to cool to room temperature and hence uses a respective material model as below (written simply)
If more than 900 degrees
- Martensite, T to room temperature < 10s use material 1
- Lower bainite, If T to room temperature 10s<x< 50s use material 2
- Upper bainite, If T to room temperature 50s<x< 100s use material 3
- Pearlite & bainite, If T to room temperature 100s<x< 550s use material 4
- Pearlite, If T to room temperature 550s<x use material 5
I cannot seem to view the respective controls for APDL or GUI, since i am not using workbench.
Thanks in advance!
