Hi All,
I am a little stuck and require some guidance. Let me set the scene. I have two 2D structural axisymmetric analysis with 2 parts (one fixed (Part A) and the other held down via a spring (Part B)) which are in contact (frictionless), and I am modelling a cyclic loading to allow one of the parts to disconnect and then reconnect every cycle.
Here is the issue. After the first cycle Part B breaks contact and comes apart (good), however when the second cycle begins i.e. Part B is meant to go back to its original contact position, part B goes through part A as if it has not recognised part A is there. I need part B to establish the contact.
Bit of an odd, one. Can anyone shed some light on this?
Much Obliged
