Anti kink springs for welding wire conduit

I am working on an automated MIG welder that needs some kind of anti kink mechanism for the wire feed conduit. Has anyone done something like this before? A common solution is a spring loaded, suspended, guide, but that doesn't work very well in this situation. I want to put an anti kink coil around the conduit, but I can't find anything specific for a welder. Before I take the trial and error route, has anyone done something similar, and what did you use for a spring?
