Our company has a Linkbelt 218 lattice boom crane that we use for building demolition. We also during the course of demolition need to send workers in a personnel cage or work platform to cut steel that occassionly gets hung up during the demolition process. We are concern that the anti two-block system will not be reliable if left on the boom during the wrecking process. We do not always have room for a second crane that has the reach we need to place a man cage where we need it.We have been told about the controls needed and initial installation and that the equipment on the end of boom must be removed during the wrecking operation and replaced when attaching man cage. We have talk to many safety people who are quick to refer to the OSHA regulations and parts people who know about the anti-two block system but do not have practicle field experience using it and maintaining it in the field. We would appreciate any help regarding this matter from someone with experience. Respectfully, DRK
