Does anyone know what the difference between these two are (on the picture) and what their presence would suggest?

Condensing Units. One is a twined condensing unit for a VRF system.

I actually count three steeples. One's higher than the other two, and their presence would suggest there is Christianity in the area.

Two air cooled condensers and one cooling tower

CLHaines,

These kind of questions are not accepted in these forums by rule. The equipment, you are questioning about, are not rare and they are common to HVAC systems. I suggest you to refer ASHRAE handbooks where you have pictorial explanation of the equipment and systems. You can make good use of Google, as well. Posts of similar kind may warrant red flagging in future. Please ask questions that bother you technically and we try to help you.

Good luck,

The second time you have asked "what are these" I suggest some research on your part might be in order - how about visiting an air-com company who designs and supplies air-con units.

Thank you and apologies
I will go through your suggestions
