Any practical book for strip footing design ???

You can't really go past Bowles' Foundation Analysis and Design, whichever country you're in, for the design of footings. Warner, Rangan and Hall's Reinforced Concrete (an Australian publication) has a simple treatment for the reinforced concrete design of strip and combined footings.
