Hi All,
I am going to produce a lampshell. It is a street light. With PC material and opal color. And UV resistance.
Here I attached an image that you can see. And STEP below.
But currently, I only need some samples for testing. I would like to know how to make some samples without plastic injection molding.

Everything but size and the sort of testing that is expected.

Is that a flange on the inside? I do not expect an injection mold to make that.

Vacuum cast in PU or acrylic. Rapid prototype outfits do it. More expensive than printing due having to make moulds, but final product is same as production.
You need acrylic for UV, PC for impact.

Politicians like to panic, they need activity. It is their substitute for achievement.

I tried. This shell is oapl translucent. The light transmission of the 3D printed model was not uniform enough and turned yellow.

You really need to remove the inside flange. It's not manufacturable. (Even by vacuum casting PU off silicone tooling).
