Any way to use something like "View Configurations" that changes constraints/position?

I'm trying to create a draft that shows an assembly's center of gravity, and how it moves when the part is tilted in multiple directions.

I'd like to be able to land all of them on one sheet, from the same model. View Configs don't save the change in constraints however. Is there any way to achieve this?

Alternate position assemblies
I think that's the functionality you're looking for. In this case, it would be easier for you to read the help file regarding that process than to try to explain it via these forums.

If that doesn't work, then you may need to create separate assembly files. When you create the drawing view (on a single draft file) of each assembly, you should be able to create alignments between the views and the view centers lined up.

So I just looked into alternate position assy's.

Am I correct that you can only change off-sets between positions this way? If I wanted to make some pretty drastic changes, then it seems like this won't work?

You can change linear and angular constraints. I agree that it would be nice if constraints could be part of configs like in SolidWorks.

One work around can be to have multiple instances of items installed at their various configurations and toggle what shows in what configuration. Doesn't help much with some aspects though and is a bit 'ugly'.

Posting guidelines faq731-376 (probably not aimed specifically at you)
