I notice a lot of Mazak users, but curious how many of you are Mitsubishi owners/programmers/operators. List your machine(s) ie: 4030-3015 LXP 1998, etc. Also I am considering a nesting program that uses common line cutting, any suggestions...?

Hi Ben,

I think the Mazak machines use a Mitsubishi resonator for the laser generation, but I wasn't aware that Mitsubishi do a Laser Cutter.
I use Sigmanest software from SigmaTek, for all my nesting and programing. It's great. Has a lot of features for common line cutting and bridging of parts to reduce pierce's
. In saying that, I don't use common line cutting at all. I find it more trouble that it's worth.

Try WiCAM's PN4000 cad/cam software. It handles common line cutting very well. And supports all machines laser, punch, waterjet etc. Can even handle 3D lasering and laser hardening.
