APDL: what is the command to define line with individual number between 2 key points. In other words, I know the commend (LSTR,P1,P2) to define line between 2 key points (P1,P2), but in this command I do not have control on the created line number, and hence I need a command which defines a line between 2 key points and also allows to dedicate an identification line number to that line. I would appreciate if somebody can help.

There isn't one. Don't bother with entity numbers - read the APDL manual - it says very clearly to steer away from entity numbers.

a) you can use NUMSTR before the command.

b) you can get the maximum node number with *GET,[par],LINE,0,NUM,MAXD

c) you can get the line number by LSEL,none; L,p,p; [par] LSNEXT(0)
