With reference to closed thread408-165885 and to thread809-293830, it must be noticed that between 2004 and 2005 ISO and API decided to create a common standard, so ISO 10497, 2nd Edition (2004) and API 607, 5th Edition (2005) were officially identical.
In the next revision (dated 2010) the two standards divided their ways again, even if the changes in their contents were very few.
API 607, 6th Edition (2010), for example, deleted paragraph 7.5 about "ISO-FT" marking.
ISO 10497, 3rd Edition (2010) instead added the following sentence about acceptance of previous fire tests in paragraph 1 Scope: “Fire test certificates of valves previously tested according to previous editions of ISO 10497 and to similar internationally recognized fire test standards are also acceptable”.
How would You understand this sentence?
More generally: is there anyone familiar with one of the two latest editions, yet?
Has anyone ever seen any "ISO-FT" marked valve?
THANKS to All, 'NGL
