If a ball valve design is in full compliance to ASME B16.34 and API 6D, does that automatically qualify the valve to be API 608 compliant? If not, what different stuff needs to be undertaken to make it API 608 compliant?

For a ball valve to be 608, it must also meet ASME B16.34. No relationship to pipeline ball valve requirements in API-6D. 608 has additional requirements for stem strength, seat pressure-temperature ratings, and marking. You need to get a copy of 608. But, please note that the next edition of 608 is to be published by API soon. It adds several more marking requirements and also requires fugitive emissions compliance with API-641.
