Hi, I have a question about calculating the maximum design pressure for unanchored tanks limited by uplift at the base of the shell. in API 650 Annex F.4.2 the equation is given by:
Pmax = (0.000849*DLs/D2) + (0.00127*DLR/D2) - (0.00153*Mw/D3)
My problem is that I'm not able to figure out how to calculate Mw (the wind moment in Nm). I have tried to find the answer in API 650, but I don't understand their descriptions. Can anyone help me? The wind moment is the only value I'm missing in my calculations.
