API 685 vs API 610

What is advantages/ disadvantages of selecting one of these standards other than sealing mechanism. In other words, can API 685 provide similar operating range as API 610? Is it feasible?
How about reliability and long term operation? which one is more reliable and less maintenance required?
Can we consider a magnetic coupling instead of VFD driven API 610 pumps ? what is pros and cons?
