I am trying to reproduce or verify the capacity chart in 6AF2, especially by leakage criteria. I verified couple sizes and several load cases for each size. The result I got was lower than 6AF2. Wondering if anyone did the same thing before?

The leakage criteria in 6AF2 is:
1) fix the outer edge of ring groove bottom
2) apply unit bolt pretension, pressure, external tension, and bending moment, respectively
3) calculate when compression from pretension is exhausted by other three load sources, flange leaks.

Therefore, the very outside point, on the tension side to bending moment, of the edge being fixed should leak first. But when I plugged in the limiting loads from 6AF2 into my FEA, I get about 30~40% of circumferential line losing contact, rather than only the very outside point or a small percentage, say 5%. Good thing is that the discrepancy is somewhat consistent, not all over the place. I checked 6AF2 many times and very carefully, about their FEA setup and leakage criteria, but still not 100% clear about them. So I am not sure if I did the same thing as 6AF2 and would like to ask if anybody has any experience on this matter?

By the way, I am using solidworks simulation for FEA.
