API steel pipes grade X52 1

Dear all,

Is it possible to use steel pipes grade API X52 in structure specially if the required diameter isn't found for the similar grades as S355 or A572 grade 50.

- API 5L X52 is seamless Line Pipe with mechanical properties Fy (min yield str)= 358 MPa and Ft (tensile str)=455 MPa

- Steel S 355 is a type of steel with Mechanical properties of Fy=355 MPa and Ft= 510-630 MPa

- A572 grade 50 is a type of steel with Mechanical properties of Fy=345 MPa and Ft= 450 MPa

IMO, S355 or A572 grade 50 may be used with small adjustment at design calculations as long as they are SEAMLESS PIPE ..

Just to be super precise, X52 SMYS is now min 360 MPa. They rounded up to the nearest 5MPa a few years ago.
