I'm on sp0.0 & it is crashing on me all the time. Just playing around with a square protrusion & some fillets & it crashes. Going to update to new sp, hope it helps.

Well as I always say each version gets far more demanding on hardware and if your hardware is not certified and your not using the certified VC and drivers your going to have far more problems then some others are seeing.

If you want help in understanding your issue your going to have to provide more specs then what you have listed.

I find 08 to be far more stable then 07 and 07 was far more stable the 06. They have gotten better in stability then in hte past. They provide more information then what they used to in regards the use of SW and certain types of VC's and drivers.

Sounds like your issue is hardware, Installing with AV on, Working over the network or you upgraded from 07.

I haven't had any issues with stability in '08, except when I find a nasty little bug that I wasn't expecting. However, software stability is a bit like a human relationship. You can compare relationships generally, but every relationship is very different because the people involved are individuals. The same is true with software and hardware. Everybody's system is different, so the stability of a given piece of software is going to be hard to predict. And instability on one system doesn't mean that the software is inherently unstable. There are always other software interactions, hardware configurations, installation procedures, ect., but I agree with Scott. I seems like SW has become less crash-prone with the last couple of releases.
