I have a problem with applying different materials to two faces of the same loft. When I apply let's say chrome to face 1 of the loft, both faces turn chrome instead of face 1 being chrome and the other one staying the same as before.

I have similar problems with other faces too. Often when I try too apply a material to a face it doesn't render, but if I extrude the same face 0.001 mm and then apply the same material too the feature it renders perfectly.

I'm doing this work for my for a college course although I've done some work in SW before.

Works fine here SW04 SP3.0.

How did you make the loft?

I tried it 2 ways

1) I made a square and trangle and changed a single face - No problem.

2) I made 2 circles different sizes and used a guide curve. Again no problem adding a chrome material to a face.

I made the loft with three perpendicular lines and a spline to a similar sketch with the help of five guides curves. But I've had similar problem earlier with other shapes to, so I don't know if it's a bug or something. I'll try to get a hold of a newer copy I guess.

Anyways, now I have another problem.
I made an assembly with a torso (part) and a left arm (sub assemby). I then mirrored the arm to get a right arm. Here's where the problem starts. The mirrored assembly does not retain the materials of the left hand part and since I'm having troubles assigning materials to faces, I can't get the right materials on the right hand part.
