Hi,
Please help me to analyse this problem in ANSYS.I want to analyse a shaft (or a pipe) as a solid model using SOLID95 elements.(example 3.1 from MECHAINICS OF MATERIALS, 2ed, by TIMOSHENKO & GERE).The shaft is fixed at one end, and a torque (Moment) is applied at the other end about the axis of the shaft.(though this can be done by PIPE16 element very easily) Please explain how to apply the torque. Can the BEAM elements be used for applying torque? If yes, then How? What are the constraints to be applied? Is any couplig required?
Please tell me the procedure to analyse this problem.
If I want to do the same with SHELL93 element, then what is the procedure?

please help me.
Thanks.
