Applying pressures from another software to Abaqus (pressures varying with time and location)

Hi,

We have been given a large dataset which includes the following data from an analysis done in another software:

- (x,y,z) of a large number of points in space (~1000s)
- For each point, an amplitude (with quite a small increment size) which is the time history of the applied pressure at this particular location

We have to apply these pressure histories to our structural model in Abaqus. I can think of a script which essentially reads the data and creates individual amplitudes and applies them to the correct location in Abaqus. However, just wanted to check beforehand to see if anyone is aware of any internal functionality in Abaqus which could do this?

Thanks in advance.

There are analytical mapped fields for the spatial variation part of your problem. But if there's also a completely different time variation for each point then you will need a subroutine or a script.

I was expecting this, so thank you very much FEA way for confirming this.
As always, you are very helpful.
