I have a simple model of the diesel engine(just internal parts) and I need to measure the stress, but before that i want to apply temp. on them. also i defined two steps, first one for initial condition.
the problem is where should i apply it.
1- I applied temp. on geometry but beacause of constraints (i tried both translational jonit between piston and ground or cylindrical support) the stress is much higher than what it should be.
2- I applied thermal condition in transient structure as initial condition in the first step but after some substeps of second step it crashes and the values also higher than what i have in previous method.
3-I used both transien and steady state thermal and import the result in transient structure, which crashes at first step. (in thermal part, i applied temperature from 22 to desire temp.)
thank you in advanced.
p.s. im using ansys workbench 12.1
