Hi there,

I'm trying to analyse a composite shaft in Abaqus and I’m having a few problems.
I've created a shell structure by extruding a circle and then applied my composite layup to this.
I have placed a boundary condition at on end by putting an reference point on the shaft axis coincident to the end plane, then used a coupling constraint to couple the nodes in that plane to the RP. Then I’ve applied a boundary condition to this point.
At the other end I have done the same but applied a torque a moment to this RP to create the torque.

The job runs, but I don't believe the results as apparently there is not deflection!!
