Hello everyone,
I am trying to find a good program for modeling and evaluating a drive shaft system composed of shaft, bearings and various gearing configurations. I am looking at the program's structural, thermal and vibrational analysis tools. I know that there are several different programs that have this capability but I am having a hard time finding more of the specifics on their capabilities. I'd also like to know if there are ways to import the components of such a system without having to model everything from scratch in a CAD program. I have been looking specifically at Adams, Comsol, and Simpack but have also had Abaqus, Ansys and Simulia suggested.
If this is the wrong place for this thread then please just let me know. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks
