I have been asked to investigate getting registered in the State of Alaska. The license would require me to take an Arctic Engineering course.

I know that the University of Washington offers a short course. Is this coarse valuable? They cover a lot of material with a final exam. I'm a little nervous about the final exam because of some specific topics that I may not have had in college.

Is the course valuable? Any info on the exam as too the depth or is this an exam to make sure you know the info that was given to you during the course?

Im a civil engineer in Alaska. I'm still a few years away from getting my PE but this is what I know. The University of Alaska Anchorage offers an online short course for this requirement which is approved by the Alaska State Board of Registration for Architects, Engineers, and Land Surveyors.
Check out this website which has a course description on the left.
