Are the A 105 the same material as 350 LF2? 1

No. A-352 LF2 is made to fine grain melting practice. Fine grains, while highly important to provide low temperature impact properties, provide some unwanted properties at high temperatures where A-105 would be better suited.
 
Sure.....its just the same !!

That's why ASTM uses different designations...... Its only to fool you !

 
Both specification are different.
A105 made by forging specially for small fitting, flange and valve parts. Small size starting from size 0.5 inch till 1.5 inch ussually.
A234 made by wrought this for large fitting and parts. Large size starting from 2 inch till 24 inch or large. The large part may made from casting methode.
 
Continue my previous comments:
A216 made by casting for large piping parts.
I think that should be state on piping material class, or you can refer to ASME B31.3.

A-105 flanges are provided in sizes much larger than you claim on a regular basis.
 
... but is limited by weight to 10,000 lb if I recall correctly.
