AS 3600 Theory question 1

Hi everyone,

I am having trouble understanding the meaning of clause 8.1.3. Is there a dumbed down explanation compared to what I'm finding on the internet as well as a better explanation to what Ku is compared to what is given in the standard.

Any help is appreciated

If the depth of the neutral axis from the compression face is x, then Ku is defined as x/d, so Ku.d = x.
