AS3600 - Anchorage of shear reinforcement by welding

Section 8.3.2.4 of AS3600 notes that anchorage of shear reinforcement can be achieved by welding of the fitment to a longitudinal bar. Other than that statement, there doesn't appear to be much more guidance on what this welded connection should look like. I had a look in AS1554.3 (appendix F) to see if there was a standard detail, but there didn't appear to be anything relevant for two perpendicular bars with a load-bearing connection. It seems that Section 8.6 of Eurocode 2 provides more detailed guidance around anchorage of shear reinforcement by welded transverse reinforcement, which is perhaps the rational approach to follow.

Can anyone point me in the direction of some other useful design approaches/detailing for this type of connection, particularly in an Australian context if possible?

This is news to me, but I checked and sure enough it's there. It's not the same in AS 5100 though.

I imagine it would be like the corbel welded anchorage like you mentioned.
