Is it just my copy or are the figures in the C&C sections of ASCE a lot more fuzzy. Even the digital copy isn't as clear as it used to be.

Does anyone have a copy of these figures that is sharp and easy to read like they used to be?

Any chance you can share an image showing what you mean by fuzzy? My copy is very legible however if I zoom in enough it can be fuzzy due to what I assume is file compression for such a large document with lots of images. We currently use 7-16 for almost all projects as the newer codes are used in the areas we practice, however I do recall some fuzzy charts in previous versions.

Which figures?

I'm looking at Figure 27.3-8 -- it's pretty blurry. Figure 7.4-1 is blurry also. Many others are very crisp.

Most of the GCp figures have been blurred.

I can do the work of comparing values and snip the 7-10 but was hoping for a more direct path.

The commentary or the Guide for design of wind loads have the equations for the graphs that you can use, if you're using Excel or some other tool.

Those charts in Chapter 30 are blurry in my pdf copy also.

The AISC steel construction manual has the same problem with some of its diagrams, although not all. I sent a note to AISC when the 13th edition was published asking if they could work on the problem in future editions. I got a reply from one of the well-known names at AISC claiming not to understand what I was talking about. Some diagrams have been fixed in the two subsequent editions but there are still a lot of fuzzy ones. It's disappointing that the issue has now turned up in ASCE 7.

Good News!
ASCE 7-22 is out and for sale. For about $250 (member price) you can see if they fixed it in the new edition. [lol]
