Does anyone know how to use table 33A,B & C from Chapter 28 of the 1997 ASHRAE Handbook: Fundamentals? I know that it somehow identifies the different wall types to use in Table 32 - but I'm at a loss in understanding the logic between the A-C tables.

Hi Ian, the load calculation software I use uses the 1997 CLTD tables. I made a calculator on my website to find the wall and roof numbers. The calculator may be helpful for you to reverse engineer how to use the tables.
Note: I make these calculators for me to use and share with the world. They may not be pretty but their practical [gorgeous]
