ASME B16.5 1977 and A181 gr 1

Can anyone confirm ANSI/ASME B16.5 1977 edition lists A181-1 Flange material as group 1.4 which is 620 psi at 100°F?

I'll attach both Table 1A and Table 2-300 for ANSI B16.5-1977. In those days (well before my time) the tables were separated by Class. Since you wanted 620 psi I'm assuming you need Class 300.

The answer is "Yes" and FYI they referred to it as A181-I (not a "dash one", but a "dash eye" instead).

Thanks AWDMike. Sorry I typed "-1" instead of "-I" problem is others were suggesting hydrostatic test pressure of 1125 PSIG for this material flange (class 300). I am afraid that will be to much. Should be 620 x 1.5 = 930 and round up to next 25 psig increment = 950 PSIG max.

There was also a table for hydrostatic test pressure, but you appear to already have the correct value.

Two other questions

1) Why did 16.5 delete "Non shock" verbiage from code book. In regards to listed flange pressure

2) would you happen to know MSYS for API 5 L in B31.3 1984 edition
